3 Months
Austin is three months and he is doing great. I am thrilled because I FINALLY got a picture of his big hammy smiles. I will post it when I get a chance (yeah, right! may never happen.) He is getting so big, he had to go to the doctor today and he is a whopping 13lb 12oz, almost doubled his weight. I don't have a clue what is average, and this is new to me so please excuse me for being so excited over this. I guess it is a new mommy thing and you could probably care less lol. The doctor did say that his weight is above average for his age, looks like we have a big boy on our hands. The better to play hockey :)
Daddy had to take Austin to the doctor because he started projectile vomiting yesterday. Oh, and everytime he did it, it was all over me! Poor baby made me nervous and the doc said she wanted to see him to rule out anything serious. He seems to be doing great, though. I did take him off the zantac, thinking he would be fine...oops! Back to zantac we go.
Austin's personality is really coming though, it is so amazing. He isn't crying as much, and he is just the happiest little guy. Daddy and I can get him really laughing, just have to give him a certain face and he cracks up. It is such joy to see that. I look forward to it more than anything. He loves to sit in his chair when I am in the kitchen and watch me. Everytime I look at him he gives that beautiful hammy smile and just cracks up.
That is how month three has been so far, can't wait for other milestones and more smiles!

Baby "Hersey" Arrived

I made a Bed Rest Buddy while Pregnant with Austin. We met through the Sidelines Website. Sidelines gives support to Women and their families facing a High-Rish Pregnancy. It got me through a lot.
Anyway, her name is Ashley and she gave me the idea for this blog. She gave Birth to her beautiful daughter, Dylan this past weekend. Congrats Ashley, now you can finally get off that bed!
You can visit her blog at www.bedrestboutique.com
Baptism Gown
Austin wore a beautiful family heirloom for his Baptism on Sunday June 3 2007. His Great Grandma Rockett made it for her first born, John in 1951. Following John, her other kids wore it and it is very special. Austin looked like a perfect Angel it in, I was so proud he wore it. Even Daddy and Aunt Ashley wore it! Great Grandma Rockett is going to embroider everyones name and the date on it and give it back to us for the next baby.
Family who wore it:
John (Rest in Peace)
Marilyn
Tom
Chris (Austin's Grandpa)
Paul
Jason
Ashley
Austin
The gown will continue to be handed down in the family. It's already in 3rd generation now.

Baptism
Yesterday, June 3 2007 Austin was Baptised. It was a wonderful day and best of all Austin was so quiet and relaxed at the mass. I held him most of the time. This was his first Church visit, because I was so nervous to take him. I didn't want him screaming in the middle of it.While we were standing by the Baptismal Font, Austin was smiling and giggling and I couldn't figure out why. I found out later, Daddy was making faces at him making him smile like crazy :)
His Godparents are Chad (Jason's good friend he has known forever, they are expecting their baby girl in October!!) and Ashley ( Jason's younger sister.) Others included Grandpa Geister, Diane, Cassie, Grandma Buford(nana), Grandpa Rockett (gramps), Grandma Rockett, Great Grandma Rockett, Great Great Aunt Jan, Great Great Aunt Kathy, Aunt Jenn, and Jodi.
After the Ceremony we went to Grandpa Rockett's for a wonderful get together. It was a perfect day for Austin.
P.S. Aunt Allison, Brandon and Jacob were there in Spirit. They were on their way and got stuck in traffic, then the car stalled in Detroit!

Angels Playing
My mom called me at work this morning to tell me something that really touched my heart. Her and Austin went to Great Grandma Beverly's house yesterday, she loves to visit with him. My mom was cuddling Austin and doing her normal routine to comfort him (hold him, kiss on his cheak and pat his bottom) it's very adorable and only nana does it. Anyway, she was doing that and he started to drift off. As he falls asleep he starts to smile really big, it's so cute. Great Grandma Beverly noticed and said to my mom, " You know, when they do that, Angels are playing with them." This took me to Autumn right away (Austin's Big Sister who is looking down on him from Heaven.) I know she is with him, she is his Guardian Angel and the thought of that brings tears to my eyes.

Memorial Day Weekend
Austin's mood is really changing...finally! Not that I didn't enjoy him before, it's just getting more rewarding. He is cooing and smiling and it's so sweet. I am glad he actually means to do it now. He always smiles while he is falling asleep, but now when I poke his nose he is a giggling smiling fool! And it's a big hammy smile that I love. He is starting to just relax is his crib. He will still scream at times, but now he is actually content most of the time.
He had a busy Memorial Day Weekend. We went to NaNa's to do some laundry on Saturday. We were there all day. Our dryer is broken :( Working of fixing it. It's no fun to have a baby and no dryer. He comes with lots-a-dirty laundry!
Sunday we went to Grandpa Geister's house because our electricity was out. Austin and I were bored and decided to go and visit Grandpa. It was nice, my dad played with him, loved on him and actually fed him for the first time. Then he got nervous and let me feed him. He couldn't stand Austin crying so he took him, burped him and rocked him to sleep. It was so sweet. After that we went to Grandpa Rockett's house for a BBQ. Austin was very sleepy at first. We finally woke him up and he was such a sweetheart. Grandpa Rockett got to feed him his next bottle and he did great! After he ate, he got to see Great Grandpa Rockett and he was in a great mood for her. He insisted on standing (with her help of course) most of the day. He is getting so strong and so big! Mrs. Putz and her sister came to visit him and gave him a nice gift. Aunt Marilyn got to meet him too! It was nice, and Austin was loving every second!

2 Month Pictures

Here are Austin's 2 month pictures. We went to JC Penney after his doctor appointment and he got his shots. We will not be doing that again, he was upset. Even though it looks like he was sleeping peacefully, he was NOT! Everytime we moved him, he woke up, all we could get was 4 poses. That's ok, he did great for just getting 4 shots. Can't wait for next month pics!

Photoshoot
11 - 11
Austin went to the doctor today for his 2 month well baby chcek-up. It went very well and I am happy to say I didn't drill the doctor with questions this time. Austin weighs 11lbs 11oz today! 11-11 means a lot to Jason and I. Every time I see the clock hit 11:11 I pray and send special wishes to heaven to Autumn. Jason and I first started trying for a baby on Nov 11 (11/11/05). I know it sounds cheesy, but it's just one of those things.
Anyway, all went well at the doctor, for the most part anyway. We did find out he has swlooed testicles. I know there is a name for it, but I can't remember what she said. It should go away on it's own, for rare cases he might need surgery when he gets to be 1 year old. I am not going to worry about that though!
After she did her check up and he passed he had to get all his shots :( As we were waiting for the doctor Austin started to coo a lot. It was so adorable! He was in such a good mood and this was the most I have seen him coo ever. I felt horrible when the doctor came in and gave him 4 shots. He was a trooper though, cried a lot then he was ok. A little out of it, but I would be too after 4 shots.
We decided to get his 2 month pics taken at JC Penney after that. Maybe not such a good idea after all! He fussed so bad, we had to leave to feed him and come back. We could only get 4 good poses, but thats ok. I was happy to get him out of there.
All in all Austin is doing great. I took 2 days off to spend some quality time with him and it has been nice. I wish I could be here all of the time with him :)

Perfect Monthers Day
Thanks to Austin and Jason, I had a PERFECT Mother's Day! It was amazing. We started out by playing with my gift, a photo printer! I love it, now I can print up all my fav photos of Austin whenever I want! After that we decided to take Austin out to eat for the first time. Before I have been too nervous to do it. It went wonderful, Austin just looked around for a while then fell asleep. It was so sweet.
After that we went to the mall for a while. I bought a couple things and Jason went to get some shorts. I had to feed Austin in public (bottle feed) for the first time. It wasn't that bad at all. I just went to a quiet corner in the mall and fed, cuddled him. I am getting more comfortable everyday. While Iw as feeding him and nice old man came up and said how sweet we look together. It was a wonderful compliment.
From there it was on to Elizabeth Park to take some AMAZING pics. It was a outdoor photoshoot :) Austin fussed a lot, but we didn't torture him too much.
Next was on to get some flowers to plant at the house. Jason wasn't too crazy about this, but he did it with a smile on his face. Austin was getting very tired and I could tell he just wanted to be at home. This was a big day out for him. We decided to stop by and see my Grandma for a few and my mom. It was nice, but it was great to go home!
I have the next two days off to spend with Austin and I will enjoy and cherish them! Today Austin is 2 months! I can'e believe it :) He is getting so big. He goes to the doctor tomorrow, I wll let you know how he is doing!

Big Boy!
Austin went to the doc yesterday with Grandma and he is doing well. He does have a tiny eye infection, but he will be just fine. I am glad he went in to get checked out. He weights almost 11lbs, I can't believe it. All of this time I have been so scared he would be born premature and look at him now! He is perfect, eating/sleeping well and just a sweet sweet addition to the family.

Wonderful Wednesday
Haven't posted in a while. I am FINALLY getting back into the swing of things. I am not as stressed out as I have been. Taking care of Austin is getting easier and easier. Before I was scared that I would "break" him. I am so glad to be a little bit back to normal.
One bad thing is I am back to work. Although it is good to be back, it is so hard to leave Austin for 9 hours a day. My mom is watching him and that is wonderful. I love that he is with someone I know and trust. Who better than mom??
Austin goes to the doctor today with my mom for an eye infection. He has a lot of build up and yuckie yellow slime on his eye. I called the doctor to get him in and the nurse said just to rub his eye and keep warm compress on it and it should be fine. She must have not known she was talking to a worried new mommy - I made sure to get him in right away. Better tobe safe than sorry, right? I am sure he is fine, but I would rather hear it from a doctor. Austin has been on Zantac for his reflux. He is doing wonderful on that. I think he even likes the taste of the medicine :) No more spit up/screaming in pain/coughing. HE still gets hic-ups a little, but thats ok.
I can't wait to hear how much he weighs. He is getting so big. I have been enjoying dressing him in his adorable outfits. He is just a sweetheart. His mood is not as fully and he is awake a lot more during the day. Oh!!! And he sleep 6-8 hours though the night!!! That is WONDERFUL.
Thats about all for now!

Busy Day
Austin went to the doctor again today for shots and check on his reflux. He still has it and he is going on Zantac to help him feel better. I hope it takes his discomfort away :( On a good note, he weighs 9lb 12oz, he gained 8oz in 6 days. Thats super good!!
After the doctor appt, I went out with him for the first time just us two. I have been scared to do it because I don't want him to start screaming in the middle of the store, lol. It wasn't bad, we started off at Toys R Us and that was good. This is the same Toys R Us I went to as a child, so there was something special about taking my baby there for the first time. After that we went to Meijer to fill his perscription. He started to cry while we were there. Good thing I could leave really fast after dropping off the perscription.
Today was my nephew's 7th Birthday. He is really growing up! We all went to Port Huron for a Birthday party at Chuck E Cheese. It was nice, and he did so well for such a really long drive. Happy Birthday Jared!! Tomorrow is my other nephew's Birthday, Brandon. Can you believe between me and my sisters there are 7 Boys!! There are enough for a hockey team lol!!!
I off to clean the messy house now that we are home. Hopefully Austin will let me get some good sleep tonight.
Goodnight!

Nine Pounds!!
Austin went to the doc yesterday and he was 9lb 4oz. He has gained 2lb in 2 weeks, chunky monkey :) Poor little man has reflux though. We have to switch formula to a thicker one and if that doesn't work he has to go on zantac. He also has a heart murmur. Doc said it's normal though...sigh. Austin is doing great:)

Coffee Kick
I had one of my first cups of coffee this evening...wow! I shouldn't be able to drink it. I haven't been able to sit down since. It turns me into super woman. I have been cleaning and doing everything. Jason has enjoyed it lol. Hope I don't get addicted.

3 weeks
Today Austin is 3 weeks old. He is doing fantastic and I am feeling much better. I still don't getmuch sleep, but it is getting easier. Last night was rough, little man wouldn't stop crying. That's ok, I guess he is worth it.
Yesterday was Austin's due date! Thats just crazy to me. He turned out 100% perfect just like I was praying for. What a little miracle baby!

Adjusting
I don't know why, but I am having a dificult time adjusting to this new life. I am so happy and thrilled to have Austin and I wouldn't have it any other way. I am just always by myself it seems and I really have a hard time taking everything on. Jason has been very busy with work and I don't want to put this on anyone else. I think I have some postpartum depression :(
Austin was off to a scary start when he went back into the hospital for jaundace and dehydration. I may be feeling guilty for that and now I am scared something else could go wrong. I will try to get over this and enjoy the little guy more. He is amazing and such a joy to my life. I am so happy my dream has finally come true.

Healthy Little Boy
Austin is 13 days old today. I can't believe it has almost been two whole weeks since hehas been here. I am finally able to enjoy him and not worry so much. He went to the doctor today and his jaundace has gone away and he is gaining weight again. After he was born, I tried to breastfeed and he wasn't getting enough so he lost a lot of weight and was jaundace. He had to go into the hospital for a couple of days and still he was dehydrated and jaundace. It was so frustrating! His doctor decided to put him on formula and since then it has been so much easier for both him and I. His color is so much better and he just seems so much more happy.
I didn't go to the doctor with him and daddy this morning, I needed to get some much needed rest. Daddy took him there then took him to his frist trip to the mall. They surprised me and bought Happy Feet. I thought it was so sweet :) Austin slept the whole time and just enjoyed the trip. After that we had to take him to Meijer to get a couple of things and he did amazing there too! HE is such a good baby, accept at night when he likes to be awake. We are working on that though.
Jason was sick this past weekend, and he gave it to me. I had a 100.6 temp this afternoon. I slept some and loaded up on meds and I'm feeling much better. Hope Austin doesn't get it.
So all is well with the Rockett family...FINALLY :)

Full Term and False Alarm
Some pics before the rush to the hospital for the false alarm...grrrr
Today I feel fulfilled, I have finally hit the full term mark - 37 weeks. I never ever thought it was possible for me, but I did it.
I had a false alarm last night. I started to feel contractions around 5pm, and they were painless and far apart. Then they started getting closer and closer together and painful. They were only 5 min apart. I thought for sure that was it. We packed bags and loaded the car, called people and everything. I was actually very relaxed and ready to go the delivery.
When I got there they put me on the monitor and they were showing up. The doctor checked me and said my cervix hasn't changed, so they sent me home. He said to come back if my contractions were strong and 5 min apart. I told him that is what they were doing right then. He said they weren't doing any damage so go home. I couldn't believe it. All this pregnancy I couldn't get them to leave me alone, now they are the least bit interested in me. What's up with that?

Strange How Things Work Out
Lately I have beeen receiving wonderful support from a website for women suffering from high-risk pregnancies. Most women are on bedrest or stuck in the hospital for long amounts of time and have been through so much. They offer "buddies" which are moms who have been through similar situations that you have been through. I signed up for one and it took about a week for her to be assigned to me. She finally sent me an email and her name is Autumn. It was such a nice sign, that is my daughter's name who passed away. She just had twins in November, and one of the twins passed away in August. She shared some pictures with me of both of her daughters. She was able to keep them together for a few after they were both born. I couldn't even imagine giving birth to a baby that passed away months before. We have a lot in common and she has been a great support.
I have also met another woman from Seattle who is on bedrest, Ashley. She has been on bedrest for over a month now in the hospital. She has a young daughter and a supportive husband who make it bearable for her. She has pretty much moved into her hospital room. She is the person who inspired me to start this blog. She has been diagnosed with a short cervix and is hoping to be released in the next week. She is a delight to talk to and a great friend. She has also inspired me to get a new camera. Well, I haven't yet, but I am going to once I have the extra money. She has a Digital SLR Canon camera and it takes amazing pictures. I am saving up and can't wait to take tons and tons of pics of Austin Tyler.
Thats all for now

Getting Ready
I FINALLY went through all of Austin's clothes and organized. My mom helped me do it this morning. We decided to repack the baby bag, because I had to take all of his preemie clothes out of there. That was a GREAT feeling. I didn't realize that he doesn't have many newborn clothes, so my mom is taking me to Babies -R-Us here in a few to get him everything else he needs. After today we should be all ready for him. I need to make a couple lists of people to call and things to bring to the hospital, but thats about it. I can't believe how close it is. I know I keep saying that, but really I can't believe it :)
When Jason gets home he is finishing everything up by putting the car seat in and move the fish take out of baby's room. He is also going to work on the electronic things like the baby monitor and what nots.
Anyway, I'm going out now to finish his shopping. Probably the last time I will go out until he gets here. I will try to enjoy.

Changes
I went to the doctor today and there were some changes in my cervix. I am now dialiate to a 4. This happened in a week and it's a signifiant change. She decided not to keep me there because I am far enough along to come home and wait until I contract every 5-10 minutes.
My due date isn't until April 3rd, but I think he wants to get here before then. My doctor said she might try and "stir things up" next appt, if I make it that far. I think I am still in shock that he is going to be here soon. I can't last that long dialiated to 4cm. Wish me luck, i'm nervous!
I'm contracting tonight, we will see what happens.

2 HUGE Goals Reached Today!!
Today I hit two of my biggest goals, 36 weeks and my very last progesterone shot. I am so happy that I am finally here. I won't be full term until next week, but I am sure I will hit that mark. I think that if here were born after next week, he would go straight home with us no NICU. That is what I have been working so hard for.
It was nice to see the nurse for the last time today. Not that I don't like her, she is great. She has helped me through a lot of my fears. I just don't like getting a shot in the hip every week. I have been getting the shots since 16 weeks and now i'm 36 weeks. I never thought I would hit these goals. Now I am hitting and hopefully passing them. I believe Austin is 6lbs this week. Getting to be a big boy. He sure does feel big in there kicking away. I can feel him moving now. It's so amazing.
Now Jason and I are trying to finish everything up to be ready for Ausitn. Most everything is done though. I am so ready for him, a little scared about the delivery though.
Tomorrow is another doctor appt, hopefully everything is still going good. I have been taking a lot more pics for every week and of things here and there. As soon as I learn to post I will put them up.
Hoping for good doc visit tomorrow :)

Dear Austin...
There is this song I have been listening to for inspiriation and hope. I have been listening thinking about this unborn baby since way before I was pregnant. I would listen and just know it would work out and be okay. Here are the lyrics...
A New Day Has Come
I was waiting for so long
For a miracle to come
Everyone told me to be strong
Hold on and don't shed a tear
So through darkness and good times
I knew I'd make it through
And the world thought I had it all
But I was waiting for you
Hush now I see a light in the sky
Oh it's almost blinding me
I can't believe I've been touched by an angel With love
Let the rain come down
And wash away my tears
Let it fill my soul And drown my fears
Let it shatter the walls
For a new sun
A new day has come
Dear Austin;
I love you my sweet sweet son. I can't wait to meet and hold you. We have been praying and wishing for you to be here for a long long time. I can't believe it, you are going to be here anytime. I am sitting here right now feeling you have hic-ups and moving around like crazy. I love to feel you move around, even though you like to kick really hard sometimes :) You are a dream come true and I Love you more than you will ever know.
Love, Mommy

Keeping busy and nesting
Jason is working a while today and it's only 9am...what to do?? I'm not used to being alone because my mom will usually stay with me. She needed a break. So, I guess on the agenda for today is read my new book"Shopaholic and Baby", make a grocery list, make a list of everything Austin needs, watch some TV, thats about all I can think of :) Good thing the book is long.
I think I have entered the "Nesting" stage of pregnancy. I want everything clean, in it's place and ready for baby. Maybe I will go and work on organizing his room a little today. They say once you start nesting, it won't be long :)

I'm Very Greatful
I am so happy and greatful to be blessed with such an amazing husband. As I am sitting here thinking, I am realizing just how much he has done for me through all of this. It has been so hard on me, I know no one can understand. I have waned to just give up and crawl in a hole and hide. Whenever I feel this way, Jason has always been right there to pull me through it. Like when I was in the hospital all of those times and had breakdowns. When I was too scared to be alone in the hospital because I would have panic attacks Jason was there. Even though they didn't allow anyone to stay the night with me, he made sure to make them let him stay with me. Usually he didn't sleep because there was no bed, so he would just occupy himself while I slept. I would wake up scared, and he was right there. I am so lucky. I am not usually such a weak person, but I had so many fears in mid pregnancy that I would have another premature baby that would struggle to survive. I just can't imagine losing another child. Jason understands this and he is the best support I could ask for. It's been a tough journey, and I will look back on it and smile. I learned a lot in these past 9 months. Both of our children( Autumn who is in Heaven and Austin who will be here anytime now) have made me a much stronger person and have brought Jason and I closer than ever.
Thank you Jason for just being you! I love you always and forever.
I have to mention my mom. She has given up so much to be here and help us out. She comes and stays a few days a week. She helps out with cleaning, getting ready for the baby, and emotional support for me, oh and the foot rubs! She also gave me an amazing baby shower. Thanks mom, for everything. I love you!

Happy Birthday Hubby!
Today is my husband, Jason's Birthday. He luckly had the day off and I got to see him the whole day. It was good. We started out running to meijer in my attempt to get some stuff to bake him a cake, but I still haven't made it cause i'm tired. Anyway, this was one of my only times out with such a big belly. Everyone is so nice and I get nothing but smiles, it's great. They even opened a lane for me so I didn't have to wait so long to check out. I didn't get a wheel chair there, but Jason wouldn't let me walk around much. I sat and waited for him while he got stuff. I'm going to miss this pampering. After that we went to the mall again to get Jason his present. It was nice, I miss going out. I am not going to do it much more though. When I got home I had a few contractions. Good thing I drank some water and they went away.
Jason's family stopped by and spent some time with him. It was nice. His dad and sister and him are out getting some dinner to bring back now.
Anyway, it was a quiet nice day for Jason and I. I can't wait for baby though. I am hurting, baby keeps kicking me in the bladder...ouch!

I tried to make him a Birthday Cake, but it just didn't turn out right, lol. What can I say? It's hard for me to be on my feet and cook. My mom actually mixed it for me and I still couldn't get it right. Jason was a good trooper and ate it anyway with a smile on his face. What a good guy!
Happy 25th Jason...Love your Wife, Autumn and Austin!! XOXO

Great Day!!
So far today has been very good. I started off the day waking up to the rainy thunderstorms. I LOVE stormy weather. I know its weird, I just do :) I went into the cervix clinic at 1:30 with Jason and my mom. This was my mom's first visit there, so she was excited to see the ultrasound. The cervix clinic is a research clinic that the government pays for. They are trying to get down to the reason women have preterm birth. They monitor contractions, take blood, urine sample, cultures, check the cervix and do an ultrasound. All of this information goes to researh and helps others too!
I got there and they put me on the monitor for contractions and some were showing up. I still deny that though because I couldn't feel them and everytime they were showing up the baby was kicking. I think it was just him moving, but I couldn't convince the nurse or doctor of it. From there I got the blood work done ( just one poke!! ) and it's the last time they are taking it. Not that it matters, I am so used to it by now. After that I went into the ultrasound and they checked out the baby. It was great, we saw his ears, face, and of course after a sec he covered it with his hand as always. The sonographer told us it looked like he has a dimple on his chin... so cute! Oh and for the first time, I saw that he has a full head of hair. Then we saw the "boy parts" and all I have to say about that is Jason was proud, hahaha. I can't wait to meet Austin.
After all of that was the scary part, the cervix check. The doctor checked and it was still the same. I was so excited. It was longer than last time too. It was 15mm. Thats great news for me. The doctor said he wasn't worried about my contractions because I am so far along now and they haven't done any damage. He said I am in a safe place to deliver, so it's no biggie. I just have to go in if I am in labor. Until then I can just relax and even get up and do more, but not too much.
After that we went to Big Boy and it was yummy! Looking forward to Grey's Anatomy tongiht. I am just going to relax and wait now.

Good Appointment :)
I had my doctor visit today, 35 week check up. It went really well. My blood pressure was a little high, but they think it's the "white coat syndrome." I got an exam to make sure no infection for delivery and she checked my cervix again and it's still the same...1-2cm dialiated. I was happy to hear it! She said to get up and move around more but take it easy. I got permission to go out a little and not have to constantly lay around when i'm at home. She chatted for a few and then gave me her number so I can call her when it's time so she can be there.
One bad thing about today is I had a horrible hot flash while I was waiting for her. I'm not sure if I was just nervous or what, but I haven't been that hot ever. I'm at the point where I'm just miserable and can't wait to have him.
After the doc we decided to go to the mall, haven't been in months. I rented a wheel chair and Jason and my mom just walked around with me for a little bit. I wasn't out too long and didn't buy anything, but it was nice to get out. I am exhausted.
Now I just have to get past the cervix clinic appt tomorrow. They seem to always send me to Labor and Delivery :( Hopefully everything goes good though cause it was good today.

35 Weeks
Today I am 35 weeks and still pregnant. I am very happy and anxious to have him. I want to meet him so bad. I can't wait to hold him. dress him, play with him and watch him grow.
I have two appointments this week and I hope they both go well. Tomorrow is my doctor appt and thursday is the cervix clinic. We will find out how much he weighs at the cervix clinic. Two weeks ago he weighed 4lb 5oz so we are hoping for 6 lbs this week. Hopefully he will show us his face this time at the ultrasound. He always covers his face, with his hands. We joke and say he doesn't want us to see him until he is born. He wants to make a grand entrance.
Anyway, nothing exciting going on today. Mom is heading down to stay a couple days and help out. Just hanging out and waiting.

New Car
Today Jason and I got a new car. It's a 2007 Dodge Caliber and so purdy :) I have never had a nice car ever, It's a good feeling. I can't really enjoy it yet, but I will once Austin is here. I can enjoy riding to and from the doctor more every week though. It will be nice to have a safe and dependable car for Austin, that is the major reason we got it. That and we were WAY overdue for it. Now if we can only figure out how to get the car seat in there.
Only one shot left!!

Pic of my Nurse who comes to the house once a week to give me a shot. I know it's old, but I had to include it. I don't even look pregnant.
I recieve weekly progesterone shots to help me from going into preterm labor. I have been getting them since October. A nurse, Pat, comes to my house every Monday and gives me a shot, takes my vitals and listens to baby's heart. She just left and I'm so excitd because I only get one more shot and I am done!!! No more getting poked every week. That's a huge milestone to hit for me.
Hopefully everything goes well with the doctor this week and I don't have to deliver yet or get stuck in the hospital. I can't tell you how much I dislike being stuck in the hospital with no control of anything. I want to go to 37 weeks, that is full term. That would be great! Next goal is 36, try to keep small goals so it doesn't seem so far away. Here's to hoping!!

Boring Day!!!!
Oh how my mood chnges...I'm still happy and positive, just bored to tears. I spent all day watching the travel channel. They had specials on Disney World, Universal Studios and Sea World... All in Orlando Florida. I found myself daydreaming to when Jason and I went to Orlando before our cruise. I wanted so bad to go to Disney World, but Jason wanted to wait until we had kids. He did drive me around Disney on the outskirts and we decided to go to Blizzard Beach Disney water park. That was fun, hope to get that body back after the pregnancy :) Anyway, I can't wait to take Austin there and experience the magic of Disney World with him. I've never been and it's always been a dream of mine to go.
Anyway, today was super boring and I slept a lot...Nothing too exciting to report today. Can't wait to start traveling again though :)

Change of Emotion
Today was a good day. I'm not sure why, but my whole mood and outlook is changing. I'm not so worried and negative about everything that has to do with the pregnancy. I have learned to give all of my fears to God and not worry so much about every little thing. I have realized that I am in a great place, almost 35 weeks!! So from here on out I will try to keep focusing on the positive and look forward to the arrival of our son, Austin.
I'm starting to move around a little more and it's not easy. I actually loaded the dishwasher for the first time in 4 months. Oh how I miss cleaning my house. Thank goodness for my mom who is a huge help!!

"The Loopy Shot"
I was talking to my wonderful husband about how I'm getting really stressed out about the delivery and the pain. I know it's going to hurt!! This is on my mind because it's getting so close. His response...,"Don't worry you will get the loopy shot and feel very happy." If it were only that easy :) He is a sweetheart, thats his way of making me relax.
I know it will all be worth it though, the reward is a baby!!

Contraction Drama
Oh so bored, nothing to do so I will give an update on whats been going on this week in the beautiful land of bedrest...
On monday about 5:20pm I started to fell little baby contractions. I wasn't too worried until they kept coming. I decided to do the normal routine for contractions...lay on left side and drink lots of water. This didn't work so I got a little concerned. Jason came home and helped me relax and they finally stopped. My mom came out just incase it was time, but good thing it wasn't.
Tuesday they started again at about the same time. They started out mild then got a little stronger. I went to sleep around 9pm and that made them stop thank goodness!!
Wednesday I decided to call the doctor and get checked out. To my suprise, there was no change in my cervix and doc wasn't at all concerned. She thinks I will still go for a while and if I did deliver now she is ok with it. She said don't worry about contractions unless they are very painful and really close together. If that happens, it's baby time!!
So, now that I can relax because I know the baby is ok i'm going to go take a nap or something...Till next time :)

What I Want Most
I've decided to document the rest of my journey through this pregnancy. I've come so far...34 weeks and still going strong. I never thought I would make it this far. I am still not ready to have the baby, but I am in a safe place. I have had many scares and been stuck in the hospital 5 times. On a positive note, 35 weeks the babies have a 99% chance of a normal life with no health problems. Hope to hit that big mark and pass it. This is what I want most in life, to get Austin here and for him to be ok. I will feel so fulfilled if I can get Austin here ok.
Jason is going to take me out of the house tomorrow maybe. If I do go out, I will be in a wheelchair. My doc wants me to get up more and move around a little bit. It's so hard beause I have been on bedrest for about 4 months now. I hurt !!
When I do finally have the baby I will be thrilled and for him to be here. What a dream come true to meet our son, Austin!!
