Angels Playing

My mom called me at work this morning to tell me something that really touched my heart. Her and Austin went to Great Grandma Beverly's house yesterday, she loves to visit with him. My mom was cuddling Austin and doing her normal routine to comfort him (hold him, kiss on his cheak and pat his bottom) it's very adorable and only nana does it. Anyway, she was doing that and he started to drift off. As he falls asleep he starts to smile really big, it's so cute. Great Grandma Beverly noticed and said to my mom, " You know, when they do that, Angels are playing with them." This took me to Autumn right away (Austin's Big Sister who is looking down on him from Heaven.) I know she is with him, she is his Guardian Angel and the thought of that brings tears to my eyes.

We Love You Autumn!

Memorial Day Weekend

Austin's mood is really changing...finally! Not that I didn't enjoy him before, it's just getting more rewarding. He is cooing and smiling and it's so sweet. I am glad he actually means to do it now. He always smiles while he is falling asleep, but now when I poke his nose he is a giggling smiling fool! And it's a big hammy smile that I love. He is starting to just relax is his crib. He will still scream at times, but now he is actually content most of the time.

He had a busy Memorial Day Weekend. We went to NaNa's to do some laundry on Saturday. We were there all day. Our dryer is broken :( Working of fixing it. It's no fun to have a baby and no dryer. He comes with lots-a-dirty laundry!

Sunday we went to Grandpa Geister's house because our electricity was out. Austin and I were bored and decided to go and visit Grandpa. It was nice, my dad played with him, loved on him and actually fed him for the first time. Then he got nervous and let me feed him. He couldn't stand Austin crying so he took him, burped him and rocked him to sleep. It was so sweet. After that we went to Grandpa Rockett's house for a BBQ. Austin was very sleepy at first. We finally woke him up and he was such a sweetheart. Grandpa Rockett got to feed him his next bottle and he did great! After he ate, he got to see Great Grandpa Rockett and he was in a great mood for her. He insisted on standing (with her help of course) most of the day. He is getting so strong and so big! Mrs. Putz and her sister came to visit him and gave him a nice gift. Aunt Marilyn got to meet him too! It was nice, and Austin was loving every second!

2 Month Pictures

Here are Austin's 2 month pictures. We went to JC Penney after his doctor appointment and he got his shots. We will not be doing that again, he was upset. Even though it looks like he was sleeping peacefully, he was NOT! Everytime we moved him, he woke up, all we could get was 4 poses. That's ok, he did great for just getting 4 shots. Can't wait for next month pics!

Photoshoot

I love to take pictures of Austin. He is so photogenic. I am really thinking of becoming a photographer! Isn't he so cute!!

11 - 11

Austin went to the doctor today for his 2 month well baby chcek-up. It went very well and I am happy to say I didn't drill the doctor with questions this time. Austin weighs 11lbs 11oz today! 11-11 means a lot to Jason and I. Every time I see the clock hit 11:11 I pray and send special wishes to heaven to Autumn. Jason and I first started trying for a baby on Nov 11 (11/11/05). I know it sounds cheesy, but it's just one of those things.

Anyway, all went well at the doctor, for the most part anyway. We did find out he has swlooed testicles. I know there is a name for it, but I can't remember what she said. It should go away on it's own, for rare cases he might need surgery when he gets to be 1 year old. I am not going to worry about that though!

After she did her check up and he passed he had to get all his shots :( As we were waiting for the doctor Austin started to coo a lot. It was so adorable! He was in such a good mood and this was the most I have seen him coo ever. I felt horrible when the doctor came in and gave him 4 shots. He was a trooper though, cried a lot then he was ok. A little out of it, but I would be too after 4 shots.

We decided to get his 2 month pics taken at JC Penney after that. Maybe not such a good idea after all! He fussed so bad, we had to leave to feed him and come back. We could only get 4 good poses, but thats ok. I was happy to get him out of there.

All in all Austin is doing great. I took 2 days off to spend some quality time with him and it has been nice. I wish I could be here all of the time with him :)

Perfect Monthers Day

Thanks to Austin and Jason, I had a PERFECT Mother's Day! It was amazing. We started out by playing with my gift, a photo printer! I love it, now I can print up all my fav photos of Austin whenever I want! After that we decided to take Austin out to eat for the first time. Before I have been too nervous to do it. It went wonderful, Austin just looked around for a while then fell asleep. It was so sweet.

After that we went to the mall for a while. I bought a couple things and Jason went to get some shorts. I had to feed Austin in public (bottle feed) for the first time. It wasn't that bad at all. I just went to a quiet corner in the mall and fed, cuddled him. I am getting more comfortable everyday. While Iw as feeding him and nice old man came up and said how sweet we look together. It was a wonderful compliment.

From there it was on to Elizabeth Park to take some AMAZING pics. It was a outdoor photoshoot :) Austin fussed a lot, but we didn't torture him too much.

Next was on to get some flowers to plant at the house. Jason wasn't too crazy about this, but he did it with a smile on his face. Austin was getting very tired and I could tell he just wanted to be at home. This was a big day out for him. We decided to stop by and see my Grandma for a few and my mom. It was nice, but it was great to go home!

I have the next two days off to spend with Austin and I will enjoy and cherish them! Today Austin is 2 months! I can'e believe it :) He is getting so big. He goes to the doctor tomorrow, I wll let you know how he is doing!

Big Boy!

Austin went to the doc yesterday with Grandma and he is doing well. He does have a tiny eye infection, but he will be just fine. I am glad he went in to get checked out. He weights almost 11lbs, I can't believe it. All of this time I have been so scared he would be born premature and look at him now! He is perfect, eating/sleeping well and just a sweet sweet addition to the family.

Wonderful Wednesday

Haven't posted in a while. I am FINALLY getting back into the swing of things. I am not as stressed out as I have been. Taking care of Austin is getting easier and easier. Before I was scared that I would "break" him. I am so glad to be a little bit back to normal.

One bad thing is I am back to work. Although it is good to be back, it is so hard to leave Austin for 9 hours a day. My mom is watching him and that is wonderful. I love that he is with someone I know and trust. Who better than mom??

Austin goes to the doctor today with my mom for an eye infection. He has a lot of build up and yuckie yellow slime on his eye. I called the doctor to get him in and the nurse said just to rub his eye and keep warm compress on it and it should be fine. She must have not known she was talking to a worried new mommy - I made sure to get him in right away. Better tobe safe than sorry, right? I am sure he is fine, but I would rather hear it from a doctor. Austin has been on Zantac for his reflux. He is doing wonderful on that. I think he even likes the taste of the medicine :) No more spit up/screaming in pain/coughing. HE still gets hic-ups a little, but thats ok.

I can't wait to hear how much he weighs. He is getting so big. I have been enjoying dressing him in his adorable outfits. He is just a sweetheart. His mood is not as fully and he is awake a lot more during the day. Oh!!! And he sleep 6-8 hours though the night!!! That is WONDERFUL.

Thats about all for now!
