3 Months

Austin is three months and he is doing great. I am thrilled because I FINALLY got a picture of his big hammy smiles. I will post it when I get a chance (yeah, right! may never happen.) He is getting so big, he had to go to the doctor today and he is a whopping 13lb 12oz, almost doubled his weight. I don't have a clue what is average, and this is new to me so please excuse me for being so excited over this. I guess it is a new mommy thing and you could probably care less lol. The doctor did say that his weight is above average for his age, looks like we have a big boy on our hands. The better to play hockey :)

Daddy had to take Austin to the doctor because he started projectile vomiting yesterday. Oh, and everytime he did it, it was all over me! Poor baby made me nervous and the doc said she wanted to see him to rule out anything serious. He seems to be doing great, though. I did take him off the zantac, thinking he would be fine...oops! Back to zantac we go.

Austin's personality is really coming though, it is so amazing. He isn't crying as much, and he is just the happiest little guy. Daddy and I can get him really laughing, just have to give him a certain face and he cracks up. It is such joy to see that. I look forward to it more than anything. He loves to sit in his chair when I am in the kitchen and watch me. Everytime I look at him he gives that beautiful hammy smile and just cracks up.

That is how month three has been so far, can't wait for other milestones and more smiles!

Baby "Hersey" Arrived

I made a Bed Rest Buddy while Pregnant with Austin. We met through the Sidelines Website. Sidelines gives support to Women and their families facing a High-Rish Pregnancy. It got me through a lot.

Anyway, her name is Ashley and she gave me the idea for this blog. She gave Birth to her beautiful daughter, Dylan this past weekend. Congrats Ashley, now you can finally get off that bed!

You can visit her blog at www.bedrestboutique.com

Baptism Gown

Austin wore a beautiful family heirloom for his Baptism on Sunday June 3 2007. His Great Grandma Rockett made it for her first born, John in 1951. Following John, her other kids wore it and it is very special. Austin looked like a perfect Angel it in, I was so proud he wore it. Even Daddy and Aunt Ashley wore it! Great Grandma Rockett is going to embroider everyones name and the date on it and give it back to us for the next baby.

Family who wore it:

John (Rest in Peace)
Marilyn
Tom
Chris (Austin's Grandpa)
Paul
Jason
Ashley
Austin

The gown will continue to be handed down in the family. It's already in 3rd generation now.

Baptism

Yesterday, June 3 2007 Austin was Baptised. It was a wonderful day and best of all Austin was so quiet and relaxed at the mass. I held him most of the time. This was his first Church visit, because I was so nervous to take him. I didn't want him screaming in the middle of it.

While we were standing by the Baptismal Font, Austin was smiling and giggling and I couldn't figure out why. I found out later, Daddy was making faces at him making him smile like crazy :)

His Godparents are Chad (Jason's good friend he has known forever, they are expecting their baby girl in October!!) and Ashley ( Jason's younger sister.) Others included Grandpa Geister, Diane, Cassie, Grandma Buford(nana), Grandpa Rockett (gramps), Grandma Rockett, Great Grandma Rockett, Great Great Aunt Jan, Great Great Aunt Kathy, Aunt Jenn, and Jodi.

After the Ceremony we went to Grandpa Rockett's for a wonderful get together. It was a perfect day for Austin.

P.S. Aunt Allison, Brandon and Jacob were there in Spirit. They were on their way and got stuck in traffic, then the car stalled in Detroit!
