Last night we did the "cry it out" method with Austin, and it worked!! We have actually been trying, but never so long because we have felt so bad about leaving him crying in his room alone...in the dark. Oh and did I say alone and crying...sad :( Anyway, last night we decided to really follow through and he fell asleep!! We put him in there at 8pm and checked on him every 5-10 minutes and by 8:40 he was out!! He did wake up once, but thats ok. He was sleeping is his crib...FINALLY
This afternoon Jason was home with him and he would not fall asleep in his arms. Jason decided to put him in the crib. He set him in there, turned on the mobile - and walked away. Austin didn't make a peep because he fell asleep on his own like a big boy!!
So glad we broke him of that bad sleeping habit. We will be enforcing this every night and Austin will sleep in his crib from here on out!!

that is SO nice Dawn! He will sleep better and so will you.
There are times when ours end up with us when they are sick (like this week) or teething and feeling crummy. But 90% of the time they sleep well in their own beds. I know it is tough to have him cry, but it is worse when they can say "mommy" lol :)
YAY Austin! It is so great to be able to put a baby down in his own bed so mommy and daddy can have some free time at the end of the day. :)
Good job on letting him cry it out. We had to do that too and it just felt horrible. But it was so worth it in the end to have a good nights sleep.
