Austin is REALLY growning up now! Everyday he amazes me. It's almost like I expected him to stay a little Bambino forever or something :)
Austin has been so fussy during the day, I think it has been out of boredom. We have all tried to entertain him and play with him, but he is sick of the same old stuff. I didn't realize, but he was ready to move onto bigger and better things. We have another babysitter, Denise and she has been telling me I should get a walker for him. I didn't at first, because I thought he was too young. Boy, was I wrong. We picked one up and he shocked me. He stood in it, and played with the attached toys, then he started to scoot himself around the room (We won't call it walk yet, just scoot:) ) We were at my mom's house on Saturday and we put him in it, and he loved it. It was so funny, but almost brought a tear to my eye. I couldn't help but feel proud, and just so emotional about the whole thing. He isn't a little blob anymore, not that I didn't love it when he was a blob, lol!!
Oh, I'm not done yet, there is more! That night at my Mom's house, Austin just kept eating and eating. We decided to give in and feed him some rice cereal from a spoon. It was so adorable! I wasn't sure how he would do, but he loved it. He swallowed it and then smiled like he wanted more. Again, almost got teary eyed! My baby is growing up!! Before you know it he will be playing Hockey with his Daddy and Gramps!!
I'm happy to report that I have finally taken the Doctors advice and I have stopped boiling his water. I was nervous at first (big surprise I know) but he has been ok. It's a lot easier on us too!
Hmm..What else?? He has been in a mood lately. I called the doc and he has to go back on Zantac until she seems him again in 2 months. He is miserable without the meds. Hopefully by six months he will outgrow that.
I will post pics soon of his sloppy food face that I love!
So, now you are updated on the life of little Austin!

4 Months
Yesterday we took Austin to his 4 month check up appt. Austin was in a great mood for the first part of the day, until we runied it. Sorry Kiddo :(
Some good parts of the visit...
*He weights 15lbs, which is average for his age.
*He is 25 inches long, tall like his Mommy.
*He can start to eat rice cereal, just a little though!
*We don't have to boil his water anymore, but I probably will.
* The doc is happy with his development (sitting up with support, reaching for things, laughing, standing with help)
Some not so good part to the visit...
*He has a flat part on the back of his head. She isn't worried because they want babies to sleep on their backs. It should work itself out when he starts to get mobile.
*He still has that bump on his forehead. She said the only way to tell what it is would be to biopsy it. She isn't ready to do that and will keep an eye on it. She is thinking it is just a cyst or blood vessels. I am nervous!!
*He got his second round of shots, 4 total. Poor little guy was upset and screaming. It almost made me sick to watch him in pain. He was a little miserable once we got home. We gave him some baby tylenol and just comforted him all day and night. No fever or anything serious this time. Last night was rough though.
I can't believe he is 4 months, he is really growing and has such a personality. I am truly blessed to have Austin and Jason in my life. My family is amazing, and hopefully we will be blessed with another in the future.
Looking forward to 5 Months!!

I miss You!
It's so hard to be away from you while I am at work. Know that I am doing this for you though. I want more than anything to be home with you everyday. We have goals we have to reach and bills we have to pay. Mommy loves you and I always make sure we have our time everyday.

First 4th
Above are Pics of Aunt Jennifer and your cousin, Trent. The other is you sleeping at Grandpa Geister's house. :)
Austin,
Last week was your First 4th of July. It was a very busy day and you did so well. We started out by going to Grandpa Geister's house. That was nice becuase you got to see Aunt Jennifer, Uncle Jerry and your cousins. You slept and ate most of the time. When you were awake, you were in a great mood. After that we went to see Uncle Chad and Aunt Jenn for their big get together. Didn't get to see many fireworks yet, you are still to young for that and I didn't want to scare you with the loud booms. You did see a few at NaNa's house and you could care less anyway.
Next year will be really fun and you will be able to go swimming and all kinds of fun things.
Love You!!
